Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics

The camp price includes testing ($50 value!) for your child. We will develop a personal math program just for them! Kids will be split up into age appropriate groups of no more than 4 kids per tutor/camp counselor. Math sections will concentrate on your child's personal "Easy as Pi" Math Program.

Each day of camp will include:

  • Science Experiments
  • 2 sections of math
  • themed show on giant screen
  • art and/or music
  • individual building time
  • fun math and science games

Summer Science Camp

Summer Schedule 2018

Learn about acids and bases and what they do. Learn about the periodic table and what a balanced chemical equation is. Experiment with acids and bases and write the balanced equations. Build a volcano and watch it explode. Make slime. Experiments include: density, fizzy interactions, movement of metals, chemical properties of gas, liquid and solid and more! We will definitely be using the microscope, goggles and lab coats this week!
This week will be full of tinkering and building. We will spend a day learning about construction and building a bridge. Another day learning about the force of air and water. Another day spent on magnetism (my favorite). Another day spent on electricity and building a working circuit. We will also add in the Human Body, and build a working model of the hand. We will have fun by learning about inertia by having a water balloon toss and other experiments with levers and gears. This will be a very hands on week of fun!
During space and flight week each student will create their own 2 foot solar system model. Construct a bottle rocket and balloon rocket, build a constellation box, explore with space ooblek, recreate the phases of the moon, model a solar eclipse, hold and observe under a microscope an authentic meteorite and moon rocks and much more!
There is so much fun stuff to do during Earth week! From volcanoes to plants, to crystals, plants and animals. During the week each child will get to break their own geode and learn about photosynthesis. They will also do experiments with gravity, decomposition, how plants grow, and study animal behavior. What a fun week!
